Incentives for the speakers
It is the month of February, the month which has a day dedicated to express love. And that must be the reason for the theme for the meeting, Love.
For invocation, Diwaker narrated a beautiful poem. After the MC, Bhabishyat, introduced the role takers for the meeting, Grammarian Prawesh put forward the word and the phrase of the day.
Word: Adore meaning: love and respect someone deeply
Phrase: head over heels meaning: having fallen deeply in love
Sita started the prepared speech section. We got to know her more through her ice breaker speech. Now we know how determined she is and she even tried driving a bus on a ground. Diwaker was her evaluator. He rightly pointed out her strengths and areas of improvement in the speech.
Next came the CEO of YIPL, Bibhusan. Through his P1, we now know how much he adore his grandfather. He said, "Life is short, do what you like, follow your dreams." Bibhusan was evaluated by Prashant
Then it was the COO, Anjesh's turn. He had titled his P1 as 'I am what I think.' Anjesh expressed his love towards computer engineering. An athlete and all rounder Anjesh forgot to even eat because of his love towards computer engineering. He was evaluated by Anjan.
The table topic session had incentives this time. The speakers were awarded Ferrero Rochers. Now you know what you miss when you miss the meetings. The table topics were very interesting. Anjan, Nikita, Diwaker and Prawesh spoke on the topics which were all related to love and how you would like to spend time with your loved one.
Then came the time for general Evaluation. I was the general evaluator. My team did a fabulous job. Rohan as the time keeper, noted the time taken by every speaker. Kudos to the aah counter Punya, who had patience to count huge number of aahs and uums. Grammarian Prawesh presented a very elaborate report. The meeting was well carried out by the mc Bhabishyat. Thanks to all the role takers and speakers for making the meeting a wonderful one.
Time for suggestions and tips:
1. The grammarian needn't express how beautiful the speakers speech was. If s/he feels to give feedback s/he may do so offline. Also, the MC should not comment/compliement on the speakers speech. Its the evaluators job.
2. When you become a time keeper and you aren't sure when to start noting the time, here's the tip for you. The time keeper should start noting the time when the speaker shows the firs signal of a speech, that may be through gestures, expressions, actions or words.
3. A humble request to everyone, please come prepared for the meetings.
See you in the next meeting...
