Yatra

YATRA reflects to the journey for Change.....which was joined by other likeminded friends. They were bunch of young students aged between 20 to 24 and few of them having some volunteering experiences. Among nine founders of YATRA four of them were young females and remaining five were supportive male members. They registered YATRA in December 2004 in the CDO and DDO and collected NRs. 1000.00 from each member to run the office. Unaware and inexperience of running the organization.....they seems to be confused but determined.

Almost six months after registration, they established an office in one of the member's house. They were given one room and a telephone line from the generous parents of that member. The next sunny morning, the team cleaned the room, painted it, fixed wiring and carpeting by themselves with their very limited resources and finally set up the room for their office. Then each day the team bring computer from the owner's room in the morning (up from the two stored) and put it back every evening.

That was how they started the journey to YATRA.....unknowingly but very determined which was accompanied by other energetic young people to till date.
