Bellanet has evolved into the Bellanet Alliance of Social Entrepreneurs (BASE) - an international network of people and organizations harnessing regional and global expertise on Information and Communications Technology tools and Knowledge Sharing practices. Our goal is to broaden collaboration, increase participation and transparency of action and diffuse lessons learned. BASE is an evolution of the success of Bellanet's ground-breaking activities that began as a secretariat. It works as a sustainable business alliance with initial investments from the International Development Research Centre and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. BASE is administered by Sula Batsu in San Jose, Costa Rica and also has presences in Uganda, Nepal, and Ottawa.
