Quality Assurance Engineer
YoungInnovations is looking for a skilled QA Engineer with strong attention to detail to ensure the quality and reliability. The person hired for this role will be responsible for working closely with developers and product teams, designing and executing test cases, identifying and reporting defects, and ensuring smooth and high-quality product releases.
As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products/services by implementing and executing comprehensive testing strategies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, isolate, and track software defects throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and execute detailed test cases, scripts, and plans to identify software problems.
- Implement, maintain, and improve automated test frameworks like TDD,BDD
- Perform API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or similar, along with automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Cucumber etc.
- Work closely with software developers to understand product specifications, particularly API endpoints and their expected functionality.
- Identify, log, and track bugs and inconsistencies.
- Collaborate with the team to develop effective strategies and test plans, with a focus on API integrity and robustness.
- Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, Regression and Smoke ).
- Design and develop automation scripts for automation testing as needed.
- Detects and tracks software defects and inconsistencies, providing timely solutions.
- Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle.
- Provide support and documentation related to testing and automation.
- 2-3 years of experience in related field
- Experience in planning/scripting/test executions/monitoring for web/mobile applications
- Good understanding of QA and automated testing best practices
- Experience applying testing skills: automation test plan and test case formulation, report creation, defect tracking and reporting.
- Knowledge of STLC and SDLC process
- Must have hands on experience of API testing
- Must have experience working with version control system GIT
- Must have sound knowledge of Software Testing
- Ability to identify the performance bottlenecks and troubleshoot.
- Working knowledge in an Agile and fast paced environment.
- Experience with Selenium with Java/Python and other test automation tools
- Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
