The official tool for publishing IATI data
THE CHALLENGE
Publishing aid data in compliance with the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) Standard is a complex process—particularly for medium-sized organizations with limited technical capacity. These organizations often lack dedicated resources or in-house expertise to interpret the standard’s structure, prepare data correctly, and publish it to the IATI Registry.
Without an accessible and easy-to-use tool tailored to their needs, many such organizations struggled to contribute to the global aid transparency movement. The challenge was to simplify this complexity and make aid data publication more inclusive and achievable for all.
THE SOLUTION
To address this, we designed and developed the IATI Publisher—a modern, intuitive, and free online platform specifically built for medium-sized development organizations.
The tool streamlines the end-to-end process of publishing aid data, offering a user-friendly interface that guides users through data entry, validation, and final publication to the IATI Registry. By abstracting technical complexities, IATI Publisher empowers organizations to focus on the quality and transparency of their data without needing deep technical knowledge.
The platform has become a critical enabler for expanding the IATI ecosystem by lowering entry barriers and supporting the inclusion of more organizations in the global transparency agenda.
