Tool to assess, train and connect students and employees
In Nepal, there has long been a disconnect between educational institutions, employers, and students when it comes to career readiness and employment opportunities. While colleges produce thousands of graduates each year, many lack the structured tools to assess their skills, receive targeted training, or connect effectively with the job market. On the other hand, employers often struggle to identify and engage job-ready candidates with relevant competencies. There was a clear need for a digital solution that could bridge this gap—providing a common platform where colleges, students, and companies could interact meaningfully to support skill development and employment outcomes.
To address this challenge, we designed and developed the Career Service Lab, an intuitive online platform that serves as a bridge between colleges, students, and employers in Nepal. The platform enables students to assess their existing skills, receive personalized training recommendations, and access curated job and internship opportunities. For colleges, the system offers a centralized dashboard to monitor student progress, identify training needs, and support career development efforts. Companies, in turn, can use the platform to publish vacancies, discover potential candidates, and engage directly with students who meet their hiring criteria. By bringing together assessment, training, and job placement in one integrated environment, Career Service Lab creates a dynamic ecosystem that strengthens workforce readiness and enhances employment opportunities for young people across Nepal.
